Just to let people know, the Karma is how you show you like someone, or moreso are impressed by them. Exalt means to give them Karma points, and Smite means to take away a point. If you, for whatever reason, really don't like that person, that's when you smite them. I know this from an Inuyasha Rp Site on proboards that I go on. Just figured you'd want to know

Well put. I've seen this system on other boards as well, and it's one of the reasons I chose my second board to be on proboards. Everyone is encouraged to rate fellow members' posts so we may all improve the boards to their fullest. You can only change any one member's karma every hour, so make sure you know what you're picking before you make a choice. Just figured out too that admins/mods(?) have the power to change karma of a member manually (without having to wait the hour), so if for some unlucky reason that a member is constantly being Smite[-ed] by an abusive member, their karma will be changed back to an acceptable level and the abuser will be punished. This's a reminder to all members not to Smite those constantly just because you don't feel positive about them, or you may find yourself in a pretty bad situation.
